What is Mechanochemistry?

Mechanochemistry offers a disruptive alternative in solid state materials synthesis, where chemical reactions are driven by only mechanical force in a one-step process, eliminating the need for high temperatures, high pressures, and solvents, which are usually required in conventional materials synthesis.

Mechanochemistry is cost-effective, environmentally friendly, versatile, modular, and scalable. MechSyn's patented processes allow the transition from lab-scale to pilot-scale continuous production.

The fully electrified mechanochemical production processes thus enable manufacturers to develop better end products, achieve their sustainability goals and boost their competitiveness.

Our Solutions

What we offer

Advanced Materials

We develop, produce and supply uniqe high-performance powders synthesized by mechanochemistry, customized to your individual performance demands.

Our highly specialized functional materials offer exceptional properties and versatility across numerous high-value applications. They outperform commercially available alternatives due to their ultrafine particle sizes and controlled defect structures, which enhance catalytic activity, conductivity, and mechanical stability.

Additionally, we are able to fine-tune surface functionalization to optimize performance for specific applications. These properties make our materials highly attractive e.g. for chemical, energy, mobility, and electronics sector.

Process Development

In response to the significant efficiency and sustainability challenges facing industry today, companies all over the world are striving to find new production processes and optimise existing ones.

At MechSyn we support manufacturers in the development and implementation of innovative mechanochemical processes for the synthesis or the recycling of high-performance materials.

In addition to customised process design, our services also include the development, production and provision of the required production units, systems and machine equipment. We place a particular focus on process reliability, automation and scalability.

Let's talk about the opportunities we can offer for your strategic materials production.

IP Licensing

As a science-based company, we benefit from many years of experience in pioneering interdisciplinary research and development, combining scientific advances in the fields of chemistry, materials science, chemical and industrial engineering, responsibly safeguarding the intellectual property of the resulting innovations.

As a complementary service for our industrial partners, we therefore offer, alongside material, process and hardware development, the licensing of generated IP in the field of mechanochemistry.
